Peter is a consultant maxillofacial surgeon, having qualified with a BDS from the Royal Dental Hospital in London in 1979 and with an MBBS from University College Hospital, London in 1988. He completed his senior registrar maxillofacial training at the Royal London Hospital before commencing as a consultant at the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay (UHMBFT) in 1998. His main surgical interests are orthognathic surgery, facial trauma and oral diseases. Peter was the medical director at UHMBFT and is now the associate medical director for appraisal, revalidation and fitness to practise.
