Heather graduated from Dundee University in 2015 and has gained experience in primary and secondary care settings across many specialities within the UK and in New Zealand. During this time, she passed her membership exams with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Glasgow and completed a postgraduate certificate in medical and health education. She became a Clinical Lecturer in Paediatric Dentistry at Cardiff University in 2021 and is involved with the provision of clinical dentistry, teaching and research. She is currently undertaking a PhD which focuses on practitioner implementation of evidence-based practice in relation to Minimally Invasive Dentistry and is involved with teaching in this field nationally and internationally. In 2023 she was made a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
