Fiona has been a dental nurse for over 40 years and spent most of that time in general practice, with experience within secondary care and the urgent dental care service. She is also a trustee at Dentaid and privileged to nurse when the opportunity arises. She continues to work daily with dental nurses and in the dental nursing training space. Most recently she has been responsible for the first bilingual dental nursing qualification in Wales, although she works across the other nations in other roles in dental nursing. She remains a strong advocate for clinical dental nurses at the Coalface in everything she does. On an individual basis, she has a strong interest in: Equity of the provision of education, Inequalities in health, mentorship, leadership, and patient safety through Human Factors.
