Thomas Konietzny

Speaker Profile

From 1987, Thomas has held various roles in Dental Laboratories in Germany, Spain and Switzerland. In 1999, he became a Specialist in PFM and AllCeramic, and became the Head of R & D Lab Vita Zahnfabrik. In that year, he was achieved the Award of Master Ceramist. He then became Technical Director for Kavo Everest, and pursued his interest in CAD/CAM technology and became CAD/CAM Project Director for Kavo Everest in 2003. He is now Technical Director for EvoMilling, Huyton, Liverpool.

Lecture Synopsis

The lecture will highlight the integration of all ceramic materials in a casting free dental labatory. The speaker will illustrate the unique requirements needed for the preparation and working procedure of CAD/CAM technology; with a particular focus on different types of ceramic and their individual requirements.

Will all ceramic replace metal and what implications will this have for technicians in the future ?. Thomas has over 20 Years experience with all ceramic and since 2003 mostly with Zirkon. He runs a dental laboratory and milling centre in Germany and also in the Uk. He has a Training Centre for ceramic and CAD/CAM close to Liverpool and has lectured extensively throughout the world.
