Why move to CAD/CAM solutions for restoring implant cases?

In dental technology we now have many more restorative options than have previously been available, but many surgeons and technicians are still not aware of how readily available or accessible this technology is. We will look at the clinical benefits of moving over to CAD/CAM produced restorations and will also highlight some of the many systems and techniques available. We will also show how these can be adopted immediately without incurring any financial burden and minimal disruption to your daily practice.

Biography

Steve is the manager and senior technician of the specialist dental implant laboratory, Ambridge Ceramics Ltd. We are fortunate to work with in partnership with some of the most highly regarded implant and cosmetic surgeons in the UK.

Working together with a skilled team we provide restorative solutions for all aspects of implant and cosmetic dentistry, including CAD/CAM abutments, milled bars and planning for complex restorative, implant & combination cases.

After leaving Ripon college in 1992 where he studied information technology (IT) Steve joined Ambridge Ceramics where he served an apprenticeship under Mark Ambridge. He is a registered dental technician with the GDC.

Passionate about CAD/CAM and its possibilities, Steve provides information and backup to anyone interested in using these new solutions to provide better and more cost effective restorations for their patients.

When he’s not at the lab Steve enjoys running, social media, technology & gadgets
