Synopsis -The course will cover the use of the Challacombe Scale which is a new Diagnostic tool in effectively diagnosing and treating Xerostomia.
The scale clearly demonstrates the different stages of Xerostomia and gives suggestions for treatment of the condition. The Challacombe Scale has a 10 step routine which is part of an Oral examination in general practice.

Professor Stephen Challacombe has a phenomenal record in both Dentistry and Oral Medicine. Professor Challacombe has pioneered many projects and ground breaking publications throughout his career constantly improving Industry standards and demonstrations.
Professor of Oral Medicine, University of London; Vice-Dean Kings College London Dental Institute; Head of Division of Oral Medicine, Pathology, Microbiology & Immunology at Guys, Kings & St Thomas’ Medical and Dental School); Director of External Strategy, Consultant in Diagnostic Microbiology & Immunology to Guys & St Thomas Hospitals; Senior Research Fellow, Department of Immunology, Mayo Clinic, Minnesota, USA (1978-79). Honorary Consultant in Oral Medicine to the UK Armed Forces.
