Mabel Slater

Mabel Slater qualified as a dental hygienist at Manchester Dental School and gained a Masters degree in Education, Training and Development at Sheffield University. 

She was Head of the BSc Unit of Oral Health Science at Manchester before taking up the post of DCP Director at Kings Dental Institute.

Mabel has held a number of offices at regional, national and international level, including President of British Dental Hygienist Association, a Director of the International Federation of Dental Hygienists, Chairman of RCS panel of Examiners/DCP committee and a member of the previous GDC.

She has a special interest in Skills Development for DCPs and is currently enthusiastically involved in establishing Kings DCP programmes overseas.
