Dento-legal pitfalls when promoting a practice

What can happen when there are complaints about practice promotion. This presentation will cover promotion using new media as well as traditional media; who may make a complaint, who they might complain to and what a Dental Registrant should do if they receive a complaint regarding any promotional activity.

Biography

Leo Briggs BDS MSc

Leo joined the DDU in 2005 as a dento-legal adviser. After graduating in 1989, he worked in both the Community Dental Service and General Dental Practice. He gained an MSc from the Eastman Dental Institute in 1995 and is on the GDC specialist register for periodontics. Alongside his work for the DDU he still does some clinical periodontics in practice.
