The Combat Zone: White Spots

This presentation will address minimally invasive dentistry as it applies to white spot lesions. The course will include a brief review of the etiology of white spots with a focus on carious lesions and fluorosis. The prevalence of white spots, effective caries prevention to combat these and treatment options for existing white spots associated with caries and fluorosis will be discussed.

Biography

FIONA M. COLLINS, BDS, MBA, MA

Dr. Fiona Collins has authored and presented courses for dental professionals in the United States, Canada, Middle East and Pacific Rim on Preventive Therapies, Minimally Invasive Dentistry, Oral-Systemic Health, Smoking Cessation, and Infection Control. She has held positions in clinical dentistry, education and training, professional relations and marketing in Europe, the Middle East and the United States. 

Fiona is currently the CE editor for Pennwell continuing education courses; an active author, speaker and consultant in the dental industry; and a member of the American Dental Association and The Organization for Safety and Asepsis Procedures (OSAP). Dr. Collins graduated as a general dentist from Glasgow University and holds an MBA and an MA from Boston University, Massachusetts.
