Dr Richard Charon will discuss practice growth/development/ business angle, "being different" - Purple Cow, as well as illustrating the wide range of treatments that can be achieved including some advanced aesthetic and perio. Treatment for anxious patients, that would otherwise decline. Even for scale and polishing! Reaching out to the millions who don't attend the dentist through fear, anxiety and phobia.
The session will also look at the cost of equipping to the cost of other big ticket items including, Cerec, Lasers or even a single handpiece!
Dr Richard Charon's presentation style has been influenced by 12 years as a full member of BAAD, watching some stunning world class presentations and will include points of humour too!
There will be a number of patient stories, video interview testimonials for the technique video of patients being treated. Dr Richard Charon will also bring his own Therapist and Hygienist to give a brief (1 min. each) review of their own experiences working on sedated patients with the technique. The big draw for this group is that training can be provided for them to a level of competency that will satisfy GDC requirements to allow them to act as sedationists alone, which is something quite new.

Biography
Richard was educated as St. Marylebone Grammar School, London and qualified as a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Manchester University, Dental School in 1975. He has practiced dentistry in Manchester, Windsor and Weybridge as well as spending almost 10 years in Caversham, Reading as an expense-sharing partner.
Richard has the first dental practice in Berkshire to have been accredited by BUPA DentalCover in 1994, and was appointed a Regional Dental Adviser by BUPA for 2 years, assisting other dentists in achieving their accredited status. In 1999 he was awarded Full Membership to the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry, at the time one of less than 100 dentists in the UK to achieve this highest form of Membership.
He is both a member of and on the mentor's list for The Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry and The Dental Sedation Teachers Group, and is also am a member of the Association of Dental Implantologists.
