The importance of photography for diagnosis, treatment planning and medico legal records
Dental photography is an increasingly important tool across all areas of dentistry, from patient and laboratory communication to medical legal records. This lecture will give an overview of digital photography, discuss the required views and demonstrate how quickly and easily the correct pictures can be taken , as well as demonstrating how photography can aid in diagnosis , treatment planning and patient communication.
Biography

A graduate of the Newcastle-upon-Tyne Dental School, Dr Bloom has been a dentist at Senova Dental Studios since 1990 focusing on comprehensive restorative and cosmetic dentistry.
An accredited member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. David is also the former President of the BACD 2008. He is a fellow of the International Academy of Dental Facial Aesthetics. David was Highly commended Dentist of the year - Southern Region at the Dental Awards 2009.
David is on the editorial board of the International journal of Cosmetic Dentistry- the official journal of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
David is an associate clinical teacher at the institute of clinical education, Warwick medical school and clinical director of CO-OP.R8 seminars and instructs and lectures on all aspects of photography and cosmetic dentistry in the UK and the US.
