Biography

Dr Anousheh Alavi BDS MSc FDS RCS(Edin)

Anousheh Alavi qualified at UCH Dental School in 1987 and gained her MSc in Periodontology from Guys Dental Hospital in 1993. She then went on to get her fellowship, FDS RCS in Periodontology and Oral Medicine from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in 1995.

Anousheh worked in General Dental Practice from 1987-2000 specialising in Periodontology from 1991- 2000. She then was a Research fellow in the Department of Oral Pathology at the Eastman Dental Institute from 1993-1996.

She joined Colgate as Academic Relations Consultant in 1998, while retaining her post as Clinical Lecturer in Periodontology at GKT Guys Dental School.

Anousheh has been in her current role of Scientific Affairs Manager for Colgate Palmolive UK and Ireland, since 2001

She holds an honorary lecturer position at Kings Dental Institute.

Prizes and Honours:
Winner of the Sir Wilfred Fish Research award, British Society of Periodontology, 1997

Distinction in all 5 parts of MSc Examinations in Periodontology, 1993 Faculty of Medicine, University of London

HB Murray Memorial Prize in Periodontology, 1986 UCH Dental School
