An Update in Flexible, Removable Partial Dentures and their Application

By the end of the course participants will have had an introduction to flexible partials and will understand their place in the spectrum of restorative options.

  • Learn about the background, theory and forces of Flexible Partials,
  • Understand the place of Valplast Flexible Partials as a restorative option,
  • Outline the CE and traceability of the base material and the direct affect this will have on the laboratory.
  • To get an overview of the laboratory technique for producing a Valplast Flexible Partial and the correct way to adjust a Valplast Flexible Partial.

Biography

Darren Neave

Derren Neve DCP, MDTA

Qualified as a dental technician in 1989 at Southampton Technical College. He is a director of two dental companies, co-inventor of the SnapLok and Krystal model tray systems for crown and bridge work. He was trained in New York by the inventor of Valplast flexible dentures in all aspects of design and manufacture of removable appliances. He lectures internationally, gives seminars throughout the UK to the dental profession on removable flexible appliances and dental model production. He also trains dental technicians in the correct way to produce Valplast Flexible Partial dentures in his training laboratory in West Sussex.
