Josie qualified from Bristol Dental School in 1986 and started her career in the Community Dental Service in High Wycombe. Throughout her 37 year career in Buckinghamshire and Berkshire CDS, and up to her recent retirement, she maintained a predominantly patient focused clinical role, latterly as a Specialist in Special Care Dentistry. She was an active member of the BDA Community Dental Services Group throughout her career, holding all Divisional offices and the position of President of the BDA CDS Group 2022-2023, hosting the Annual Scientific Meeting and Presidential Conference in Windsor in 2022.
