Organised by CloserStill Media Healthcare, The Dentistry Show which was launched in 2007, is now the fastest growing dentistry conference and exhibition in the UK.
The action-packed two days also saw a record number of companies from all sectors of the dental suppliers’ community exhibiting on the show floor. The 7300 m2 exhibition – an increase of 25% from 2010 - featured dozens of new products and services from over 200 international companies, including Henry Schein, DIO, Initial Services, Integrated Dental Holdings, 3M, Dental Imaging, Septodont and Clark Dental.
Leading industry figures from around the world shared their knowledge with delegates in five lecture streams running throughout the show - Aesthetic Dentist, Dental Business, Hygienist & Therapist Symposium, Aesthetic Technician and Nursing Network. Over 50 speakers including David Hornbrook, Michael Wise, Tidu Mankoo, John Stanfield, Laura Horton and Sheila Scott brought delegates up to date with the latest thinking, cutting edge techniques and procedures, giving examples of best practice and sharing tips and advice.

Suppliers noted that the format of the Dentistry Show delivered very high quality customers to their exhibition stands. “We’ve had a very good show. I don’t know where the days have gone. There are lots of decision-makers here, so we are talking to people with the purchasing power,” said Alex McGrath, Sales Executive, Panadent.
The show attracted a number of new companies this year including; Takara Belmont, Oasis Dental Care, Wright Cotterell, Optident, DTS International and Santander.
Integrated Dental Holdings (IDH), who exhibited at the Dentistry Show for the first time acknowledged the Dentistry Show’s growth and importance to its business. “It’s been a really good show for us. We came to the show two years ago and there’s been an unbelievable difference in numbers and the quality of visitors since then,” said Alex Handley, Recruitment Partner at IDH Integrated Dental Holdings.
Commenting on the success of this year’s show, Event Director Chris Brown, commented: “To reinforce the many messages of support that we have received since the show closed on Saturday from delegates, speakers and exhibitors alike, the take up for 2012 means that we’re having to look at a bigger hall and expanding the capacities of our lecture theatres”.
Show Manager Ian Reynolds added “By continuing to focus the show’s content around the specific learning and development needs of each job function within a practice allows The Dentistry Show brings all industry stakeholders together. I’m thrilled to see how the show has grown and developed as a major networking platform over the last five years and with more than 95% of this year’s exhibit space already rebooked it looks like 2012 is going to be another fantastic two days”.
The Dentistry Show 2012 returns to the NEC Birmingham on March 2nd-3rd, 2012.

Testimonials:
“You need to come to shows like this to see how the industry is moving forward and whether you are moving with it. Going around the show floor you can test new products, which you just can’t do with the internet or magazines. And it’s great for networking too. I’ve bumped into some old students of mine and a dentist I worked with 10 years ago,” said Stephen Pitt, Dentist and Practice Owner.
Dentist Mark Gregory of the Village Dental Practice Great Missiden commented: “This is a fantastic show; it caters for everyone. You don’t get this calibre of speakers all in one place anywhere else. I’ve got most of my team here and will be making the show a regular event for our training.”
